Ginnie was born and raised here in Christian County. She has spent all of her life in either Hopkinsville or Crofton, working and going to school. She met her sweetheart, Justin, at Hopkinsville Community College and they haven’t been apart since. Ginnie and Justin have been married for 20 years and have a daughter, Nona, who is a junior at University Heights Academy. Together, the three of them enjoy traveling and going on various adventures. There really isn’t anything that they wouldn’t try at least once! They are always looking for something new and fun!
Ginnie has made a name for herself in the community by working at Crofton Pharmacy, Tom’s Pharmacy, Gracious Me!, and Skyline Animal Clinic. Ginnie got the volunteering itch after adopting a cat from the local Humane Society. Together with Nona, they have been “littermates” for over 6 years now. But her passion for helping didn’t stop there. Soon after, she would get involved with the Pennyroyal Arts Council volunteering at the Alhambra Theater during events. She had finally found her calling in life… being a great wife, mom and now an advocate for Hopkinsville and Christian County.
Through friendships and the Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program (graduating class of ‘22-’23!) more and more opportunities to serve presented themselves. Today, Ginnie is active in the Hopkinsville chapter of the League of Women Voters, she is a Chamber Ambassador, on the Chamber of Commerce Leadership Board, a member of the Hopkinsville History Foundation Board, a member of the Dyslexia Association of the Pennyrile Board, a member of the Wonderfully Made Board and is honored to serve as a member of 100 Women Who Care.
Ginnie’s passion to make Hopkinsville a great place to live and visit only grows stronger everyday. When being asked to join the staff at the Hopkinsville Convention and Visitors Bureau, she couldn’t believe that all of her hard work had paid off and all of her dreams had just come true. She is now in her actual dream job doing what she loves everyday!
