Enviropods is a free, three-day science summer camp for rising 7th, 8th, and 9th grade Kentucky students. It will be held at the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library from June 24th to June 26th. Each day, Enviropods will start at 10 AM and finish at 5 PM. Enviropods’ focus is natural hazards in Kentucky like flooding, earthquakes, and tornadoes. It will be very interactive as we use technology like drones, GIS, and virtual reality to teach kids how researchers study these hazards to help improve warning systems and build better infrastructure. Lunch and snacks will be provided each day.
Students must register in advance to ensure a spot. To find out more info and to register, please go to ees.uky.edu/enviropods or email enviropods@uky.edu
