At 1 p.m. June 15, Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library will host “An Afternoon with the Author” featuring Gerry Harlan Brown, Bowling Green native.

His latest publcation is “Canelands” From the author — “A country preacher in Kentucky is called by God to go to the southern border and pray for the children. His only requirement, he must walk the entire way (almost 1,300 miles).”

His other two works are “Ring the Bell” and “White Squirrels and Other Monsters.”

Brown will have copies of his books available for purchase. Cash and card accepted.
