Debbie was born in Hopkinsville and raised in Pembroke on the beloved family farm, the only girl with four brothers! She attended Christian County High School and Austin Peay State University. She retired in 2019 from the Kentucky Retirement System after 27 years working at South Todd Elementary, the Christian County Clerk’s Office, and the last 12 years at the Christian County Jail as the Community Service Supervisor for the women. Judge Tribble named her crew “Debbie’s Darlings” and that name stuck. The program was well known across the county for all the work they did even in Trigg County. After 4 years of retirement, she joined the Visit Hopkinsville team in 2023. She loves spreading the word about our great city and county!
Debbie has a son, Matthew, a graduate of Vanderbilt University, a beautiful daughter-in-law, Emily, and is Mimi to her three grandchildren Addie, Scarlett, and Bennett. She burns that road up to get to LaGrange, KY where they live. Debbie loves hanging out at the farm, cooking, reading, playing bunco, and going on day trips. She is part of the St. Elmo Homemakers, the Hopkinsville/Christian County Newcomers and Neighbors Club and she serves on the PADD Agency on Aging and Independent Living Advisory Council appointed by Judge Gilliam. She attends First United Methodist Church.
