Hopkinsville Host to KTIA 2026 Spring travel Forum

Hopkinsville had the distinct honor of hosting the 2026 KTIA Spring Travel Forum on May 14–15, welcoming approximately 175 tourism professionals from across the Commonwealth to network, collaborate, and share industry expertise. The event proved to be both an educational and memorable experience, showcasing the very best of what Hopkinsville has to offer.

The conference festivities began on May 13 with approximately 20 Certified Kentucky Tourism Professional (CKTP) participants arriving early for Battercation 101, a special educational experience highlighting why Hopkinsville is proudly known as the Batter Capital of the World. The tour began at Folz Farm, where attendees learned about the planting and harvesting of soft red winter wheat, one of the region’s most important agricultural commodities. From there, the group visited Siemer Milling Company to witness firsthand how harvested wheat is transformed into refined flour. Participants were fascinated by the process and especially impressed to see how products made from that flour are utilized right here in our own community.

The official conference kicked off the following day with attendees diving into a full agenda of informative speakers, engaging trade show vendors, and valuable networking opportunities. Tourism professionals from across the state came together to exchange ideas, celebrate successes, and strengthen partnerships—all while experiencing Hopkinsville’s unique hospitality.

Of course, it wasn’t all business. Attendees enjoyed an unforgettable evening at Casey Jones Distillery, where they were treated to exceptional food catered by Four Seasons Catering and lively entertainment from a 19-piece orchestra led by Dr. Todd Hill. For those wanting to continue the fun, the evening carried on at Hopkinsville Brewing Company with an energetic night of Singo and karaoke.

The final day of the conference featured additional keynote speakers, vendor interactions, and collaborative sessions before guests departed with smiles, new connections, and hopes of returning to Hopkinsville in the future.

According to Sarah Brock, Vice President of the Kentucky Travel Industry Association, the 2026 Spring Travel Forum was a record-breaking conference, receiving excellent ratings and overwhelmingly positive reviews from attendees.

The staff of Visit Hopkinsville would like to extend heartfelt thanks to The Bruce Convention Center, Holiday Inn & Suites Hopkinsville, Casey Jones Distillery, Hopkinsville Brewing Company, Four Seasons Catering, The Todd Hill Orchestra, and the many local businesses and volunteers who helped make this event such a success. Most importantly, we thank the incredible citizens of Hopkinsville for welcoming our guests with warm smiles and genuine hospitality, leaving a lasting impression on visitors from across Kentucky.
