Thin Blue Run: Honoring Their Stories, Protecting Their Tomorrows

April 29 @ 7:00 am CDT
Did you know Hopkinsville police officers will be running the full length of Christian County on April 29?
They’re doing it to bring awareness to Child Abuse Prevention Month and Sexual Assault Awareness Month, supporting Sanctuary, Inc. and the Pennyrile Children’s Advocacy Center.
This is more than a run. It’s a chance for our community to come together in a visible and powerful way to stand against abuse.
Here’s how you can show up and show out:
🕚 Around 7 a.m., the run will begin.
Follow live on Facebook on the Hopkinsville Police Department Facebook page and cheer them on virtually!
🕚 Around 11 a.m., officers will pass through downtown.
Community members are invited to walk with officers from the Police Department to Founders Square, then stay to cheer them on as they continue their run.
✔️ Wear blue
✔️ Bring pinwheels or flags
✔️ Help us “paint the street blue”
At Founders Square, there will be food trucks, festivities, and a great opportunity to gather as a community.
Finale at Valor Hall
🏁 The run will conclude at 3 p.m. at Valor Hall in Oak Grove, where we will celebrate our officers and present proceeds to the organizations benefiting from this event.
We’ve already raised over $10,000 and would love to see that grow to $20,000.

Most importantly, we hope you will show up, stand together, and support this cause. 💙
