The Chair Project

…elevating art for Sanctuary, Inc

 

 

The Chair Project seeks artists and other creative minds to make a chair, funkafy a chair, or alter a chair that will be entered into a silent auction to raise money for Sanctuary, Inc. (Sanctuary provides safety, shelter and counseling…for individuals and dependent children who are fleeing domestic violence and sexual abuse.)

The silent auction and public viewing will take place on April 18, (Good Friday) 4-8PM

@ Milkweed health and harmony emporium

202 East 9th St, downtown Hopkinsville

 

 

Guidelines for participating artist:

The chair must be an artsy, functional design that can be used to sit on or to hold something, such as a plant.
(Please no beach or lawn chairs)
A stool, a bench, can be considered a chair in this case.
Each entry must have clear elements of alterations done by the submitting artist.

 

 

All proceeds from the auction will be donated to Sanctuary, Inc.

All chairs submitted will qualify for monetary prizes! The money for these prizes will be raised from outside donors. Judging will be done by local judges.

$150 Runner Up
$75 Honorable Mention
$75 gift basket for the entry receiving the highest bid.
