Refresh your bookshelves without spending a dime, unless you want wine
Bring a book (or several) and plan to leave it behind in place of another title. AND, this time only, bring a plant, cutting, or pup to swap too!
Bring a wrapped book (or as many wrapped books as you’d like) to trade and swap it for someone else’s.
After gathering everyone’s submissions, each participant will take turns pulling new books blindly in a “Dirty Santa” style. Steals are allowed, though each book is only allowed to be stolen three times. Each participant will pull the same number of books as they brought with them. Once all books have been unwrapped, a trade period is available.
This month (July 2026) features a special Plant Swap! Full size plants, pups, and cuttings with at least one node or proven roots are all welcome in the plant swap as long as they are pest free. Cuttings and pups may be bundled by the swap moderator to create more equitable trades. Plants can be potted or in an alternative medium like water, rock, etc. Plants in need of “rescue” are acceptable at the swap, but they must be clearly identified to be struggling and in need of extra support.
You do not have to participate in both swaps to participate in one swap.
